The Lace Factory in Deep River
The Lace Factory has been a centerpiece of Deep River’s history since the late 1800s. Originally built as part of a bustling shipyard, it served as a docking point for ivory shipments that supplied the area’s world-famous piano factories. With its towering brick chimney still standing as a landmark along the Connecticut River, the building remains a reminder of the town’s industrial past.
Located directly across from Deep River Landing, the Lace Factory today shares a vibrant connection with the riverfront. Guests can enjoy the park, boat launch, and sweeping river views that make this destination so special.
Adding to its unique charm, the Lace Factory partners with the historic Essex Steam Train, offering guests the extraordinary experience of arriving by vintage railcar right to the venue’s doors. Together, the train, river, and factory create a one-of-a-kind blend of history, romance, and New England character—making the Lace Factory not just a venue, but a destination.
