  • Chelsea & Eliott's Lace Factory Wedding Timeless Elegance July 16, 2022

Photos by Daphne and Dean The effortless beauty and elegance of Eliott and Chelsea's wedding has always lingered in our memory and I am just loving being able to revisit these as we approach their one-year anniversary. It was a bit of an overcast day ( perfect for photos) but the weather was the farthest thing from anyone's mind. As the team of industry creatives arrived and started busying themselves with designing, our team couldn't help but take in all the gorgeous details as they began to unfold in front of our very own eyes! Considering the Highlight Gallery had 65 favorites, we may be in trouble! We have added some of our most-loved photos here to give you a glimpse of this marvelous day! Photographer couple, of Daphne and Dean, should just be resident photographers at the Lace Factory and they're just incredible at their craft. Photos by Daphne and Dean Photos by Daphne and Dean Eliott and Chelsea held their wedding ceremony onsite, inside the 5,500 sq ft warehouse space. The breathtaking natural light and billowy white fabrics made the space an absolute dream. Ethereal, really! Eliott and Chelsea's pure joy in the first photo really say it all! One favorite decor element was the unforgettable periwinkle-colored bicycle that stood on the front stone terrace, with a basket full of the most beautiful cascading florals to greet guests. The florist, KoKo Floral, out of Guilford, Connecticut really brought such magic to every surface they touched! This bicycle was right out of Town and Country Magazine. Just from this photo, one might think we were nestled in the English countryside somewhere. Our wild, rambling ivy embraced the 1800s brick building and it was the most perfect backdrop for this blue beauty. The stone terrace was the perfect setting for our couple to embrace the magic and show off a little. Chelsea's gown had such lovely texture and movement- and she was a vision as she twirled and floated about. Photos by Daphne and Dean Photos by Daphne and Dean Photos by Daphne and Dean The photo opportunities are endless. The Connecticut River has been an integral backdrop of many a love story. Whether you're stealing away to snap some epic photos at The Deep River Landing Town Park or sharing an intimate dance together in the gardens, you can always make a little magic. I swear these matching hydrangeas in the gardens bloomed just in time to match the florals! Guests were able to grab a drink ( a Moscow Mule was their signature drink) outside in the courtyard at the satellite bar as they made their way to the summer table of seasonal delights. The Cloud Nine Catering team walked with trays of so many crowd favorites-such as scallops wrapped in sugar bacon, crab cake with chipotle aioli, whiskey pulled pork, Spanakopita, shitake risotto balls with lemon aioli, and mini beef tacos with an avocado crema to name a few! An antique door stood to the left of the curtain wall serving as a gorgeous seating chart that fit with the aesthetics seamlessly. The added florals adorning the top were an exquisite pop of color and couldn't be missed. Later on, as cocktail hour came to an end, the curtains were drawn and guests were invited to find their seats. Having a DJ that plays interludes of gorgeous saxophone music during cocktail hour and dinner was such a GREAT touch! Jeff Ladd is an incredible, one-of-a-kind music professional. Vesna Longton; a live wedding painter, was another interactive point of interest! Guests always love to see the incredible progress the artist makes through the night. Photos by Daphne and Dean Dinner was served after a light salad course. The menu included filet with horse radish sauce- a balsamic grilled Statler chicken breast with pan sauce, the option of a vegetarian Paella ( always a vegetarian fave), roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted parmesan asparagus. Our littlest guests enjoyed chicken tenders and mac n' cheese. Chelsea and Eliott danced the night away, after taking a short break for cake and kisses. Nancy's delicious confection of chocolate cake, white chocolate mousse, and fresh strawberries made a perfect, light option to have on their dessert table along with other sweet, lite bites to offer their guests. This wedding day was an absolute dream and we were absolutely delighted to play a small part in their love story! • Christopher & Brittney | summer's sweet kiss | July 15, 2022

I can remember the warmth of the sun the day Christopher and Brittney got married (like it was yesterday). I also remember them as they did their first look inside the warehouse. As the sun seeped into their photo, the gauzy, white curtain wall was the only thing separating them from their now and forever. It was absolutely breathtaking. Thinking about that moment and what they must have been feeling. The photo evokes so much emotion-the heart quickens just seeing it here. Mauves, pinks, and white played in their color story. Beautiful pops of color in the greenery that surrounded them. Hops were used in their floral design and centerpieces were growlers. The ambiance continued with our vintage apple ladder hung from the ceiling, adorned with greenery, florals, and glass globes! Guests enjoyed special Tree House Beer options as well as a signature drink named after their pup- The Millie-Rita! This double-berry margarita was a crowd-pleaser on a hot summer evening. The cocktail hour also kicked off with a cigar bar out on the stone terrace for guests to partake in! The Summer stationary table was a cascading piece of art with seasonal goodies as well as the most popular of our passed hors d'oeuvres! Golden hour was upon us and soon, guests were invited in to take their seats, as the salad course was served. The most delicious smell of dinner wasn't far behind-wafting from the on-site kitchen ( one of the best on the shoreline, I might add) sliced filet with horseradish sauce, roasted Statler chicken with rosemary and roasted garlic, Garden cannelloni baked in marinara. Mashed potatoes with roasted garlic Chili green beans were the sides of choice. The wedding cake was a carrot cake. The cake table was also planked with choices of cannolis and mini cupcakes- Lemon raspberry and chocolate peanut butter! DELISH! Oh, what a night! Congratulations, Christopher and Brittney! • Jonathan & Hilary | Summer Magic and Ribbons of Light Wedding | July 5, 2022

& Photography by Carla Ten Eyck Photos tell a story so beautifully and it was so incredible to see each detail intentionally woven into Jonathan and Hilary's story on their wedding day! Gardens have long served as a source of romantic inspiration for lovers, writers, and artists alike! Our couple, along with the incredible creatives they brought together, brought a traditional summer afternoon fête and elevated it with the most magnificent and whimsical summer soirée design. Their wedding planner, Chelsea, owner of Peal Weddings & Events, certainly outdid herself- ALWAYS bringing in her magic and beautiful energy in all that she does. Love is put into every wedding detail, from the décor to the menu, bringing the outdoors in. The bridal party donned hues of pink in unique silhouettes accented with the mismatched, floral motif. Throughout, these special details continued to dance their way through the warehouse- delicate blooms adorned the bud vases, welcomed each guest at their seat, and even placed on our wedding party's place setting, finely dressed with textured ribbons. These details make for the most exquisite photos! The time that went into the details was so marvelous and made each guest feel so special. The floral installation that hung above the head table, set the tone for more garden whimsy- the fluttering yellow ribbon-the Pièce de résistance! The magnificent wedding cake stood on its own as a gorgeous piece of floral artwork! All the details were just unforgettable! For cocktail hour held in the courtyard garden- a summery grazing table that was laden with crudité veggies & Cloud Nine dips, and zacusca ( a Romanian vegetable spread with eggplant and red peppers), fresh fruit with domestic and imported cheeses, warm creamy, cheesy corn dip, chips, Lomi Lomi salmon ( always a HUGE hit), with house-made bread crisps, (Gluten- free and nut free) A caramel apple baked brie with gluten-free crackers, charcuterie, cornichons, grilled olives, and more! All crafted especially for our couple and their guests. Servers passed hors d'oeuvres throughout the premises and inside for cocktail hour - favorites including fig and mascarpone puffed pastry, a seared, five-spice duck breast with apple butter on a gluten-free ginger snap cookies, scallops wrapped in sugar bacon, tomato basil bruschetta along with other seasonal, mouthwatering choices! Something for everyone! Signature Bourbon Bellini ~Bourbon Bellini~ Half ounce bourbon Half-ounce peach purée made from our garden peaches~ Shake with ice & strain into flute Top w/ champagne As cocktail hour began to wind down, a gorgeous summer salad of clipped spinach with seasonal berries, Feta, candied walnuts & vinaigrette awaited them. Fabled foods artisan bread with herb oil and butter was a fantastic addition to each table. Dinner was served shortly thereafter with plated boneless braised short ribs ( one of our most popular and raved-about dinner options) and carrot puree. Also, served-Cloud Nine's signature curry ginger Salmon! To die for! A vegetarian option- Ratatouille with gremolata topping over a couscous timbale was enjoyed by all, including our gluten-free guests. Grilled veggie-topped baked stuffed tomato, and warm French potato salad with tarragon, and haricots verts were served as well. Children were served a gluten-free pizza and everyone left the table with full bellies! Dessert was served- a magnificent wedding cake by well-known baketress & artist, Ana Parzych. A mouth-watering toasted coconut with mocha and lemon raspberry! Truffles and a basket of strawberries with lemon curd made for the perfect lite bites. • Noah & Rachel's Sunlit Summer Wedding | June 25, 2022

Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Noah and Rachel started their marriage standing in sunbeams amongst their nearest and dearest friends and family. The sunshine had to compete with their bright smiles. Their ceremony in front of the 10-ft windows absolutely illuminated Rachel in her gown- ethereal magic there! The couple opted for a freestanding arrangement of white roses and greenery that framed the altar. Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Earlier in the morning, Rachel and her party prepared for the day with some leisurely lunch and glam in our Riverview Room-everyone in matching comfy pajamas and feeling amazing. The room exploded with constant laughter and music. A few photos were taken outside in the summer gardens before everyone got into their wedding attire. Shortly after, Rachel got into her gown and met Noah in the front driveway by the garden of lilies- a first touch, first and then a first look! Rachel also coordinated a first look with her dad on the front stone terrace. Priceless moments as the nerves dissipated and laughter and happy tears abound. Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Our couple chose to go with a variety of delicate pastel tones to be painted over a foundation of neutrals -white and almost a ballet slipper pink. A pop of New England blue on the guys made a stunning statement. The florist delivered the perfect finishing touch with bouquets made of white florals and seasonal greenery. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed our idyllic gardens and courtyard. The couple had a vast selection of canapés served during their cocktail hour, made with seasonal ingredients and showcasing the local cuisine. Guests sipped on Rachel and Noah's fun signature cocktail they named "Flight to Antigua" a double berry margarita. The raw bar added to the gorgeous luxe summer vibe and guests flocked to it per usual. It's always a hit! The satellite bar in the courtyard was the perfect touch for refreshing sips! The hallway was lit with pillar candles down one side, nestled together along the way. Greenery made yet another appearance hung through the hall, bringing in the natural beauty of summer. Noah and Rachel reimagined the typical seating chart by affixing escort cards to the large gilded gold floor mirror with wax seals. A beautiful book with a map of Deep River, CT was set out as a guest book. Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography Photos by Elizabeth Grant Photography The room was bathed in light! After the cocktail hour, guests moseyed inside for a night of dinner and dancing. The couple brought the ceremony’s romantic, garden vibes to the reception with white table linens, tapered candles set in delicate gold candle sticks, and eucalyptus runners as well as ladders floating above the head table adorned with draping greenery. A champagne toast helped to kick off the festivities! Guests were served boneless braised short ribs with carrot puree, Sun-dried tomato, basil, & parmesan stuffed chicken breast with a basil cream sauce, and Vegetarian Paella. Mashers, carrots, and our summer garden ratatouille made for the most mouthwatering side dishes. Dessert tempted guests with a ceremonial cutting cake which was a light and zesty lemon cake with raspberry mousse and white buttercream frosting. Our bake-tress added gold leaf touches. Mini cupcakes of chocolate salted caramel and pistachio stood by for an easy grab as well as cannolis! Deep River potato chips were the favors at end of the night! The perfect salty to their sweet! • Michael & Mackenzie (and, Leo) | June 24, 2022 Classic, Timeless Wedding

Photography by Keeley Abigail Photography True love has never looked so good! We cannot get over this beautiful wedding gallery! Michael and Mackenzie had such a stunning day here as they celebrated their love. Classic bride with a modern twist in unexpected color and detail. The toffee roses and stunning emerald pops of color woven into the ethereal white and green minimalistic vibe really brought interest visually into the story of the day. Photography by Keeley Abigail Photography Photography by Keeley Abigail Photography Photography by Keeley Abigail Photography If you didn't already fall in love with these magnificent black-and-white timeless captures by Keeley, then the photos of the goodest boy and ring bearer, Leo may just send your heart bursting! Photography by Keeley Abigail Photography Photography by Keeley Abigail Photography It was all the light and airy vibes on this warm, sunny June afternoon. Our couple put all their time and planning into an indoor ceremony because they felt the light in there was just too good to pass up-and boy did the ceremony bring the light! The space was enveloped in the whispy white of ceiling fabric billowing over the center ceremony aisle, and draping at the altar with finishing touches of our chandelier and planked florals on either side. Before the guests arrived, Mackenzie snuck down to the river and had a first look moment under the gazebo with her dad-such a sweet moment captured between them. The wedding party was on the larger side ( not the worst problem to have, when you have so many that love you) and Michael and Mackenzie each had eight of their closest standing next to them on their wedding day. They included Leo in their wedding ceremony as the ring bearer and Mackenzie's Gram was their officiant! After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a beautiful, organic flow from the inside to the outside garden and front, stone terrace. The hallway was lined with large glass jars of fairy lights and moss with whirly twig. Cocktail hour showcased the "Milano Mule" as their signature drink and a beer by Thimble Island that honored an uncle, called "Hero" which were just a few more intentional details to make the day even more special. Dinner was served after their salad course, which was a plated choice of mouth-watering, melt-in-your-mouth sliced filet with demi-glace, a lighter choice of lemon pistachio crusted salmon, and for all the vegetarians- a fantastic vegetarian paella with artichokes, peppers, peas, and saffron rice. Traditional mashed potatoes with garlic and seasonal grilled vegetables accompanied our two standard protein options. Dessert included a wedding cake- a gorgeous lemon raspberry with white buttercream frosting which was served alongside a gluten-free groom's cake that was lemon raspberry as well. Mini cannolis, assorted cookies, brownies, and bars were the perfect bite to grab on the way back onto the dance floor! The guests really enjoyed the music and there were some great dance moves. At the end of the evening, the magic of a candle-lit exit and the Essex Steam train swept our couple and their guests away to their after-party! Congratulations you two love birds. • Howard & Mackenzie | Sweetest Summer Wedding for highschool sweethearts- June 18, 2022

Howard and Mackenzie were high school sweethearts, who over the course of ten years created the most beautiful life together, growing alongside each other, honoring the people they were then and the young professionals they are now as they vowed to spend the rest of their lives and beyond together. The wedding day was extra sweet because The Lace Factory and Cloud Nine got to know these two as they grew- Howard and Mackenzie were part of the Cloud Nine and Lace Factory family. We saw them grow and thrive together, make their way through school, graduate, and become PAs! So, it was a doubly special day for us! Photographer Anchored Roots Photography Guests gathered in the garden for the ceremony that day. The wedding party made their way down the stone steps to the arbor that sat in front of the large, ten-foot windows and brick of the Lace Factory. The wedding party wore sage green gowns, ties, and pocket squares, and the florals with white and eucalyptus florals- touches of peach roses and Baby's Breath were a beautiful accessory. The flower girl wore a softer sage green and white lace top, along with a Baby's Breath flower crown-just so sweet! Photographer Anchored Roots Photography The love and joy that afternoon were palpable! We saw the color again on the tables with tall, peach taper candles and satin sage napkins. The warm and cool tones played off of each other perfectly. The dining room exuded a tranquil and ethereal aesthetic with its soft, muted hues. The sage green and light peach created a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for dining and dancing. The table numbers and place cards were clear acrylic, as well as the signage at the bar. There were "His and Hers" signature cocktails-a Whiskey Smash for Howard and a Mojito for Mackenzie. We had hung our white swags and curtain wall to add to the airy summer vibes and the ladders hung with greenery and Edison bulbs really brought that natural luxe vibe in. Our Rattan lounge vignette was added as a second space for guests to gather inside, during cocktail hour, and especially people-watching as guests got down on the dance floor later on as the evening went on. As the evening went on and the sun set at 8:30 -fueled by whiskey and sweets- guests enjoy the vanilla wedding cake with tiramisu filling and that was just the beginning.... cookies, brownies, bars, cannolis, and Lemon squares-oh, my! The kicker was the donut table on the way out! Donut Mind if I do............and, I did!! :) Congratulations, Howard and Mackenzie! • Dan & Kasey | Epic Amethyst Wedding June 17, 2022

Dan and Kasey brought so much fun and personality to their epic wedding day! We especially loved the details that really reflected them as a couple. As you might be able to tell, purple is a favorite color of Kasey's! The purple table linen and the lace runners laid the foundation for a brilliant palette with an emphasis on creating an eclectic feel through the use of antique items and handmade accents like our door knob table numbers, and other playful details ( peep those vivid purple napkins that POPPED on the tables). The hallway was transformed-softened by using long purple sheer curtains with fairy lights along the wall. The edison bulbs and bistro lights gave such a gorgeous whimsical touch to the space. The soft glow became even more romantic as the evening went on. Our general manager, Christine perfectly described the wedding day as a cross between her two favorite artists Prince and Stevie Nicks- "it was a day full of fun and bad a*$-ery!" she said. Our passed hors d'oeuvres included veggie risotto balls with lemon aioli, crab cakes with chipotle aioli, chicken satay skewers with spicy peanut dipping sauce. Always a fave- the mini tacos paired especially well with their signature drink the "Double Berry Margarita". Dan and Kasey both loved tequila and the margaritas were such a fun addition to those summertime vibes! Guests were able to enjoy the satellite bar out in the courtyard. Dinner was a plated choice of boneless braised short ribs, Mahi Mahi with mango salsa or grilled chicken with lemon basil. A twice baked potato and seasonal grilled vegetables made for a gorgeous addition to the plates. The kids dined on chicken tenders and mac n cheese, of course! YUM! The three-tiered wedding cake was marvelous- a spongy chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse and fresh fruit! Along with the cake, guests were able to snag mini cupcakes (lemon, raspberry and key lime ) as well as assorted cookies and brownies! There was something for everyone- all 190+ guests! And, if that wasn't enough- the cigar bar was a very cool addition with your "something sweet" and perhaps an after dinner drink to go along with it! The perfect trifecta no doubt! This design palette was the PERFECT precursor to the color trends that would hit the wedding industry by storm in the coming year. The playful aesthetic provided the opportunity to incorporate non-traditional pieces and vibrant colors and .....boy do we LOVE color here at the Lace Factory! Congratulations again, Dan and Kasey! • Justin & Sarah | June 2022 Soft & Romantic Wedding

Photo by Danila Mednikov Photos by Danila Mednikov Photography On Saturday, June 11, 2022, we celebrated Justin and Sarah. The details of the day were absolutely beautiful -and their gorgeous, intentional touches were such a wonderful way to welcome in the warmer season. The slightest hints of dusty rose, peach, and gold throughout the space brought an impactful pop of color in the white-and-green and created a thoroughly romantic vibe. The florals and design conjured up images of romance, whimsy, and beauty culminating in romantic florals -with suspended greenery and flowers that cascaded and fell organically hung above the head table. It set the tone for a truly beautiful day. You can never go wrong with garden-inspired elements! Photos by Danila Mednikov Photography Their ceremony was held in our courtyard gardens followed by a fantastic cocktail hour with passed, stationary hors d'oeuvres, and a raw bar. Guests sipped on their Aperol spritz signature cocktail as they mingled with friends and loved ones. The flicker of soft candlelight made the room just glow and the gold touches sparkled on the tables. The mixture of tall tapers and votives with low, lush florals evoked an intimate and inviting feeling for our couple and their guests. Sarah was the epitome of femininity and romance in her classically detailed gown with edges softened by "eyelashes" of lace. Justin wore his gifted cufflinks that spoke to the travel details used in their decor. To top the evening off, a four-tiered romantic wedding cake adorned with minimal, elegant detail made for stunning photos. The florals and vintage suitcase were design pieces seen throughout the space that day, and this helped in bringing everything together. Ice-cold milk shooters and Chocolate chip cookies were a perfect guest favorite and late-night snack! Congratulations, Justin and Sarah! • Ted & Lisa's Simple, Classic Navy and White June wedding with blue skies

Photos by George V Photography Photos by Wedding Photography by George As you can see in these photos, the weather was just magnificent and there wasn't a cloud in the sky for Ted and Lisa on their wedding day at The Lace Factory. The flowers were beginning to bloom in the gardens and there were the most stunning peach-colored roses by the steps that seemed to bloom just for this special occasion! The ceremony was hosted in the garden early in the day when the sun was high in the sky. As guests watched from their seats, the processional began with the sweetest ring bearer, Rilely, the couple's huggable and well-behaved pup. He was decked out in his finest! The ceremony was a beautiful dedication to not only the love that Lisa & Ted shared but to their family unit of four. Even the children gave their vows. It was so heart-warming to see. As their loved ones made their way inside to cocktail hour Ted & Lisa were able to sneak away to the river for some photos before joining everyone. They were both boaters and shared so many fond memories on the river, it was only natural that this would be where they would get married. They would even be spending the night on their boat later that evening. The entire day was just a beautiful reflection of them. Photos by Wedding Photography by George Guests enjoyed cocktail hour playing Corn Hole as our catering team served some delicious seasonal options to nosh on. Stationary hors d'oeuvres included a baked Brie smothered in a strawberry jam and balsamic drizzzle, vegetable crudite and dips, smoked salmon, domestic and imported cheese, and our famous Morrocan meatballs. Servers also passed hors d'oeuvres- including Tequila lime shrimp, endive with chevre, walnuts, and honey, as well as a basil, and tomato bruschetta. The early afternoon sunlight filled the room as Ted and Lisa were announced into the reception as husband and wife and their fanfare included a money gun and a gymnast- so you know it was SO good. It was seriously so sweet and the smiles on their faces said it all. Guests took turns passing the microphone to make a toast after Matthew made his. It was truly a day to celebrate this little family! It was evident from the get-go that the room was filled with joy and folks were eager to get on the dance floor together. Photos by Wedding Photography by George A first-course salad of Arugula shaved Parmesan, and a lemon vinaigrette was brought to the guest tables along with baskets of warm Fabled Foods bread. Each table was given herbed oil and sweet butter to share. The plated dinner was served shortly thereafter which was a choice of seared sea scallops, filet mignon with fresh horseradish, and a bourbon-brined Statler chicken. Wedding Photography by George Dessert included a special family favorite- an ice cream sundae bar - including vanilla and chocolate ice cream with choices of chopped peanut butter cups, chopped Oreos, Strawberries, and hot fudge sauce. • Kyle & Allison's Earthy Organic June Wedding

When it came to the overall feel of their wedding day, Kyle & Allison chose to keep things organic and wild, with warm and inviting "homey" vibes. They brought the organic beauty of nature into their wedding colors and theme with an earthy color palette of blues, greens, pinks, and ivory to paint their wedding day vision. Extraordinary colors, textures, and patterns are inspired by natural lighting, ferns, and cascading greenery at every turn. Professional Photos by jag studios Check out this epic precursor first look offsite at a state park in Middletown, CT! If this doesn't knock your nature-lovin' socks off I don't know what will! Professional photos by jag Studios The wedding guests made their entrance to the ceremony through the hallway adorned with rambling emerald green vinery climbing up the walls and around beloved photos, leading to our 5,500 square foot warehouse for an indoor wedding ceremony. A beautifully homespun ceremony backdrop built by Allison's father stood at the end of the aisle- the copper metal frame held glass tube vases with pink wooden roses and baby's breath. Behind that, a gauzy mink curtain wall divided the ceremony space. After Kyle and Allison's heartfelt nuptials, the guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres inside the transformed cocktail hour space! Professional photos by jag studios Boston ferns hung from the ceiling to add to the organic, greenhouse feel and the equally greenified Wanda the Volkswagon Photobooth made for a really fun touch with her decadent Tiffany Blue facade! Professional photos by jag Studios After dining on an assortment of comfort food appetizers guests made their way to the dinner tables. Mink / blush-colored fabrics billowed from ceiling beams, softening up that industrial look. Hanging greenery and Edison bulbs accented the sweetheart table and their neon sign lit up their photos, "Better Together" and it couldn't have been more perfect. The candles and twinkle woven up in the ceiling made the room glow by this time of the evening. Pure Magic! Dinner was divine and delicious- choice of boneless braised shortribs, Statler chicken breast with rosemary and roasted garlic, vegetarian pot pie along with a side of risotto and chili green beans. To fuel up for the long night on the dance floor guests indulged in a dessert display of gorgeous pies ( apple crumb, pear cranberry, and lemon meringue) mini cupcakes ( chai mascarpone and chocolate salted caramel - always a fave) and the couple's favorite, a two-tier ceremonial cutting cake; chai mascarpone as well; was the pièce de résistance! The sun-warmed pink roses perfumed the air as guests arrived for their courtyard garden ceremony at the Lace Factory. The spring stationary table was a huge success and guests poured over the seasonal, colorful beauty of the table. Servers pass hors d'oeuvres throughout the space. The signature drinks were the Aperol Spritz and a traditional Old Fashioned. A delicious SanGiovese was also found at the bar-delish! The string quartet played for guests in the garden and the luscious floral story spilled inside the venue along the hall and walls with an incredible installation over the dance floor that gave us all Bridgerton vibes! It was truly a bit of magic and I will never forget seeing the installation come to life. Our bride and groom joined cocktail hour shortly thereafter and it was a joy to see these two as they interacted with all the family and friends that gathered there to celebrate with them. Soon, it was time for Ann and Justin to have their first dance as husband and wife and the joy in the room was palpable as folks watched from the sidelines. Friends and family were then invited to take a glass of bubbly from the champagne wall that greeted them on their way into the formal dining area. Dinner consisted of a plated choice- grilled salmon with sesame teriyaki glaze, boneless braised shortribs, or butternut, sage, and brown butter pasta. If guests had room in their bellies, a 2- tier carrot cake with cream cheese filling and white buttercream frosting made for a mouthwatering sweet treat while dancing. Guests also enjoyed two types of mini, bite-size cupcakes -vanilla with strawberry buttercream and key lime! Dangerously delicious and easy to pop right in your mouth! Assorted cookies and brownies made for the perfect snack grab as guests ran to the dance floor. At 9:30, our couple did an outfit change and Ann was ravishing in her jumpsuit and ready to party! Our large industrial cart was wheeled out and this contained everything for "Crazy hour" -masks, glow sticks, and headpieces to put on! This made for some fantastic photos. It was also really fun to see Justin and Ann in their second outfits! On the way out, guests were able to take a small favor with them-a small token of thanks- a Love Potion ( a tiny bottle of rum). There were so many details of this day from the gorgeous hallway entrance full of rambling greenery to the black acrylic signs to each hand-picked rental to the menus, table numbers, and everything in between. Pops of gold candlesticks and chargers elevated the design for the most ethereal fairytale! Incredibly talented creatives on this team, are listed below.
